Parents! Below is an “a la carte” itinerary mixing guided excursions (without the kids) and joint activities. Remember the kids program finishes everyday at 3:30pm, before then you are free to relax or explore the region during our guided activities. Contact us for more information

DAY 1 – Monday, 23 November
MARINE ECOLOGY & ISLAND EXPLORATION
9am Brief introduction to reef ecology & marine conservation and basic technical tips for snorkeling/free diving (duration 1hr max),
10am Departure to the pier, Island exploration and snorkelling/ free diving.
Onboard our long tail boat we head towards the local islands where we will explore the underwater world and learn about marine flora and fauna and experiment with free diving.
Lunch on the beach
Return 3pm.

DAY 2 – Tuesday, 24 November
GUIDED NATURE HIKE & BIRD WATCHING
8:30-9:00am We start with a brief introduction to Bird watching before heading to the trail head,
9:00am-1pm about 30min driving from Spirit Mountain. There, accompanied by a guide Biologist, we take you through dverse forested habitats and highlight the bird species you are likely to meet. The hikes is of moderate+ difficulty with well-maintained pathways and some steep sections. Forested habitat includes beach/mangrove lowland forest and halophile tree species as well as the curious Sizygium gratum or Samet Dang, which shoots and young leaves are eaten raw with nam phrik, and which tannic taste is helpful for stomach disorder.

DAY 3 – Wednesday, 25 November
BIODIVERSITY TALKS: ORGANIC ORCHARD AND WATERFALLS
Introduction to permaculture and sustainable living. We will visit an agro-forestry orchard to learn about the tropical fruit varieties as an effort to restore biodiversity and build seed banks.
Around midday we will walk through a jungle food forest and learn about and harvest leaves, fruits and berries that we will use to cook our lunch on a simple banana leaf (local style).
Afternoon. We will visit the Huey toe waterfalls in Khao Panom Bencha National Park and hike a short trail for a refreshing pause continuing our exploration of natural tropical system and understand natural design and agency and how mimicking this can help us design our lives more sustainably.

Day 4 – Thursday, 26 November
MANGROVE ECOLOGY/KAYAK ADVENTURE
9am-12pm We lead you through your Kayak exploration of the mangrove (approx. 2h). The mangrove is embedded in an intricate network of limestone canyons. Through the journey we will comment on the processes underlying the karst formation in the region and discuss the ecological characteristics of the mangroves as well as the current restoration projects that are taking place. Several pauses will allow you to experience and learn playfully about this incredible ecosystem.
12pm-1pm Lunch on site
1-3pm Swim time at Sa keow. Crystal-clear emerald water pours off a nearby limestone mountain. A very local and beautiful place

DAY 5 – Friday, 27 November
OFF-ROAD BIKE RIDE AND NATURAL POOL
Morning (10:30-12:00) We start our bike ride through the countryside, exploring jungle covered limestone karst landscapes, palm and rubber plantations, local villages on flat terrain and mostly paved tiny roads that will lead us to the beautiful emerald Khlong Nam sai. The entire loop is about 10kms (5km back and forth).
Picnic lunch at Khlong Nam Sai
Afternoon (1pm-3pm) After lunch will be spent at khlong nam sai and its refreshing emerald waters surrounded by beautiful jungle and a very local vibe. Return to Spirit Mountain by bike.

DAY 6 – Saturday, 28 November

THE PHRANANG FAMILY EXPERIENCE
Morning (10am) We will go through the majestic caves of Thaiwand wall – providing some of the world’s most stunning views. It involves climbing up bamboo ladders to the entrance of the giant cave from which we will explore incredible hidden view points and hike through its network of tunnels (involves climbing up ladders) to the exit on the other side of the mountain. There we have no choice but to abseil down to the landplatform 15m below where we can do additional climbs with astonishing views. We will then hike down to Railay beach.
Lunch on the beach/mountain (bring your own food)
Afternoon Optional: rock climbing at Thaiwand wall or beach time (return approx 4pm)
